The Mother Earth News Fair will be returning to Texas this weekend. The event is put on by
Mother Earth News, the largest and longest-running publication about self-sufficient lifestyles, and will be held Saturday and Sunday, February 17 and 18 at the Bell County Expo Center, 301 W Loop 121.
The Fair runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Fairgoers can attend more than 100 workshops and demonstrations covering the gamut of sustainable living, such as organic gardening, food preparation and preservation, natural health, renewable energy, homesteading, small-scale livestock, green building, green transportation, and related topics.
In addition, the Fair will host children’s activities, vendor and livestock demonstrations, hundreds of exhibitors, and local, organic food options.
For a reduced price, pre-orders for daily and wristbands are available, with wristbands at the gate costing more. Children 17 and under get in free.
There are hands-on workshops for which wristbands are available for an additional fee. To purchase wristband passes and learn more information about programming, visit https://www.motherearthnewsfair.com/texas/ or call 800-234-3368.
