A lifelong Coryell County resident has tossed his hat into the ring for Coryell County District Clerk for the March 2018 primary election.
Jeremy Pruitt already knows the shoes he would have to fill for the job, as his mother, Janice Gray, is the incumbent for that position. Gray has been in office for several terms.
“As a longtime resident of the community and businessman, I believe that I will bring many valuable skills to the office,” Pruitt said.
“I have been observing this position for the last 18 years from a very unique perspective while starting my professional career as a firefighter, training new employees in several franchising techniques, and supervising independent representatives as Membership Manager of AirMedCare Network.”
For the past 10 years, Pruitt has worked in management, overseeing as many as 10-50 employees at one time. He is presently manager of the local AirMedCare, which operates out of Killeen.
He is an alum of Gatesville High and has studied business at the University of North Texas, and has also completed studies in EMT/Firefighter and EMT/Intermediate training at McClennan Community College and Central Texas College, and is a former firefighter for the City of Copperas Cove.
“I am a dedicated leader and motivator and I believe that this is a great way to serve the community that has meant so much to me over the last 30-plus years.”
Pruitt said he looks forward to helping the community that he grew up in and now chooses to raise his children in.
“There’s good people in that office,” Pruitt said of the district clerk’s office. “That office has ran smoothly for quite a while.”
