Star Group to prep Thanksgiving baskets

Star Group – Veterans Helping Veterans is preparing Thanksgiving Baskets for 350 area families that may not otherwise have a traditional Thanksgiving meal. 

The families reside in Killeen, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights and Nolanville area. The group is looking for sponsors and is asking for turkeys and/or hams and canned food items to complete the baskets. Basekts will include: turkey or ham, green beans (2), corn (2), yams (2), cranberry sauce (2), stuffing mix (2), bag of rice, gravy mix, cake mix, frosting. 

The baskets will be distributed the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving. All donations are tax deductible.
