Lady Dawg shuffle continues

By TJ MAXWELL

Head coach Cari Lowery has been tinkering with her rotation through the first 32 games of the year trying to find that right combination of coverage, defense, offense and court presence to lead her Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs volleyball team to another 40-plus win season. That perfect combination has eluded her thus far, but she is taking a next man (or woman) up mentality and the latest combination looked pretty solid in a 3-1 (20-25, 25-7, 25-11, 25- 12) win at home over Hutto Tuesday night at Bulldawg Gymnasium. In only their fourth home game this season and with just one more game remaining before district commences on Sept. 16, coach Lowery made yet another change. The new line up took an adjustment period as the Lady Dwags struggled to find their rhythm in the first set, falling 20-25.
