Lady ‘Dawgs start season 2-0

By TJ MAXWELL

Coming off a historymaking 40-win season and back-to-back district titles, the Lady ‘Dawgs volleyball team has revamped and reloaded for a run at the district crown in the newly classified District 12-6A. That run is off to a solidstart with two convincing  wins over Leander Rouse on the road on Monday and Vandegrift at home Tuesday night. Their 3-1 (21-25, 25- 12, 25-16, 25-22) win over the Lady Vipers kept their 2014 campaign unblemished. The Lady Dawgs (2-0) got off to a shaky start in their home opener against Vandegrift. Both teams showed the effects of early season unfamiliarity – eight of the first nine points were hits out of bounds or service errors.
