Dawg Tennis improves to 17-5 overall; LDVB sweeps Roos for 21-11 record

The Dawg Tennis team continued its hot start of the 2016 campaign with two big wins over ranked opponents over the weekend as part of a 3-1 effort.
 
The Dawgs suffered a tough 12-7 loss to No. 16 Taylor on Thursday before reeling off threestraight wins over the weekend against Gatesville (18-1), Robinson (12-7) and Brownwood (15-4).
 
“We had some very high stress, high pressure matches as we finished up our non-district schedule and prepare to begin district next week,” said Cove head tennis coach Paul Talbett. “Taylor, Robinson, and Brownwood are all ranked in the top 25 in 4A.
