Bulldawgs look solid in scrimmage against Abilene

ABILENE – The Copperas Cove offense showed signs of their prolific power from a year ago and the defense bent, but didn’t break, on Friday morning during their annual scrimmage with Abilene High. “I thought we had a good scrimmage and the kids worked hard,” said Copperas Cove head coach and athletic director Jack Welch. “The thing we had to do going into the scrimmage is unify. We had to perfect our technique and that’s what we were looking for. I thought, as the scrimmage went on, that we were honing in on those things. We were able to make adjustments and get better.
