Belton ace one-hits Cove in 6-0 shutout

By TJ MAXWELL

The Copperas Cove baseball team ran into a buzz saw in the Belton Tigers on Friday night in Cove. Belton ace Tanner Frick had all of his stuff working for him against the Bulldawgs. Frick was especially on with his curve ball, holding the Bulldawgs to just one hit in the 6-0 Tigervictory.  “(Frick) was on,” said Copperas Cove head coach Dusty Brittain. “His curve ball was really good. It was probably the best we’ve seen and it made his fastball look even better. You’ve got to tip your hat to him when a guy pitches like that – that’s tough.”
