A successful basketball program begins in the lower ranks. Fundamentals are the key to that success, and Copperas Cove boys head basketball coach, Billy White Jr., knows instilling these fundamentals at a young age will ensure his program continues to move in a positive direction. The annual Bulldawg Baketball Camp, held this week, goes a long way in teaching those fundamentals and garnering interest in the game. “There’s a lot of preparation (that goes into a camp),” said White. “My coaching staff does a great job of getting out and controlling the kids and teaching them the fundamentals of the game. We’ve got it organized where we can teach a lot of fundamentals, especially at the younger levels because that’s the key to the game.
