Marcia Gail Benjamin Marcia Gail Benjamin, 70, was called to be with the Lord on April 3, 2014 at 2:15pm. She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts on December 6, 1943 and moved to Copperas Cove, Texas in 1973. She spent the last two years residing in Leander, Texas so she could be closer to her son and daughter-in-law. Marcia retired from the Non-appropriated Funds division at Fort Hood Texas where she worked in the personnel department for over 30 years. During and after employment she was an active member of the ABWA, American Business Woman’s Association. Marcia enjoyed the life of retirement by traveling the world. She was also a member of a Wine club but most of her friends and family knew her to be an avid reader, which was one of her passions in life. Family, however, was Marcia’s greatest passion. Her parents are David (deceased) and Dorothy Smith (91) of Chase Point, Little Compton, RI; three children, Jerilyn of Pinehurst, Texas, Jodi of Fort Worth, Texas and Jay of Leander, Texas, survive her as well one sister – Pamela of Little Compton, RI. She has 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from eleven o’clock in the morning until one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, the 8th of April, 2014 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral services will follow the visitation at one o’clock with Mr. Michael Howell officiating.
