Robots invade district for first mini-challenge

By DAVID MORRIS

The seven robotics clubs of Copperas Cove Independent School District converged on House Creek Elementary School for the district wide competition Saturday, testing the programming and building skills of the students. More than 96 students packed into the cafeteria of House Creek Elementary, representing seven robotic clubs from across the district. “This is a great team building exercise,” 2014 CCHS graduate Allen Dees said. “These students have to work together to get anything accomplished with these robots. This is the next generation of developers and engineers.”
