Chamber of Commerce draws more than 40,000 to four day festival

Celebrating the traditions of Copperas Cove, thousands lined the streets of Ave D then flocked to the City Park to flood the midway, specialty shows and craft booths Saturday in record numbers as the 34th annual Rabbit Fest drew an estimated 40,000 people. “This year was a success because of the new booths and entertainment that were drawn to the annual event,” Chamber President Betty Price said. “We have had a steady stream of cars flowing into the park since the parade ended and don’t expect it to slow anytime soon.
