Herb festival continues despite rain

The rain stopped just in time for the 20th annual Herb & Art Festival, hosted by the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce in downtown Lampasas on the square. Alicia Menard and Caroline Marquez with the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce, were pleased with the turnout on Saturday, in spite of the rains and cooler temperatures. “We didn’t have as many vendors not show as we thought might because of the weather,” Menard said. “We had to delay the music starting, but that got started around 11.” In addition to vendors selling herbs and plants, the festival offered other vendors selling crafts to include leather working, and a number who sold homemade goods.
