Five Brothers Barbecue opens doors

Newest BBQ joint in Copperas Cove opens in Frontier Hills.

Michael Reick, Barry Sheffield, Thomas Munn, Christopher Motley and D.J. Foskey consider themselves an urban family, and the five brothers realized a dream when hosting their restaurant’s ribbon cutting on Saturday afternoon.Reick and Sheffield, both alums from Cove and Ellison high schools, respectively, will be serving up a menu of sliced beef, pork shoulder, spare ribs, sausage, and chicken. After the ribbon cutting outside, the restaurateurs were presented with their first dollar from the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce, along with a plaque. “Thanks for coming out,” Sheffield said to friends, family, residents and community representatives who attended. “Especially to our employees and urban family, we couldn’t have done this without you. To the rest of you, we look forward to seeing you all back.”
