Julie Moser, a breast cancer survivor, played it forward this past Thursday night as she organized a fund raising benefit for her friend Michele McGuire who is suffering from Idiopathic Chronic Pancreatitus.

Several years ago when Moser developed cancer, McGuire had organized a benefit for her.  Now, fortunately, Julie is Cancer free and wanted to do something to help with the staggering medical bills her friend was accumulating.

Scratch Elevated Bistro in Killeen was kind enough to not only set up outside space and tables for the event, but also contributed proceeds towards the fund.

Rabbit Royalty showed up to support the event and dozens of well wishers arrived to enjoy dinner and help contribute.

Michele was feeling a bit too ill to be able to attend however a “face time” was set up with smart phones so that she was able to witness all the support she was receiving.

Robert Cavazo, the owner of Scratch Elevated Bistro was on hand and said he was so very happy to be able to help with the fund raising and also to be able to deliver a tasty spaghetti dinner for all who attended.

Julie Moser reminded folks to spread the word to those who were not able to attend by going to www.gofundme.com/michelemcquire.
