Local families and over 50 local vendors flocked to the Copperas Cove Civic Center for Saturday’s Season of Hope Expo & Festival which was hosted by Annette Donker, the president of DonkBuilt Service Exchange. The event focused on promoting the 50+ local vendors, but also provided family friendly activities. Activities included carnival games, face painting, prize drawings and meeting/ taking pictures with Batman and Elsa. “This is our first event and we are trying to support small businesses and raise money for our two charities which are Cove House Emergency Homeless Shelter and Mission Casa. They both significantly help our community…so this is to raise funds for them,” said Donker.
