Martin Walker students break out the duct tape

By CHUCK TAYLOR
Cove Leader-Press They have an innovative program at Martin Walker Elementary School. It’s called “Honey Money” and it is incredibly popular with good reason. Students earn Honey Money by maintaining attendance, grades and citizenship. They save these valuable “bucks” for a very good reason. On Friday, they had the chance to duct tape their principal to a table. Amanda Crawley, the principal, with help from assistant principal Rebckah Shuck, gathered the students into the school cafeteria in order to fulfill a promise on Friday. Each student’s Honey money coupon purchased one strip of duct tape which they used to wrap Principal Crawley to a table. Some students had well over 100 of these valuable coupons and it was but a short time before their principal was encased in tape.
