Hank’s Tire Pros holds annual three day celebration for customers

By DAVID MORRIS

What started as a tire sale seven years ago has morphed into a three day customer appreciation block party with the staff and crew of Hank’s Tire Pros focusing on serving the customers that keep the bay doors rolled up and the locally owned tire shop operating. “I could care less if we sell a single tire this weekend,” Hank’s owner Brad Harwell said. “This weekend is about saying thanks to the customers who keep us in business. My goal each year is to fill the street with people and each year it gets bigger than the year before.” Serving up more than 300 pounds of sausage and hundreds of hot dogs as well as enough water to fill a swimming pool, the staff kicked the party off Thursday and let it run its course through Saturday afternoon crowning a viewers choice winner in the car show while giving away dozens of prizes and raffle items that included diamonds, silver and car accessories.
