Cove historian, has history in Cove

Copperas Cove historian, James Powell started teaching citizens about the history of the town after he served on the Chamber of Commerce Board as president and retired from the Oncor Electric Company, where he worked for 39 years. Powell has been very active in the community since moving to Cove in 1963. Involvement includes American Exchange Club as a past distinguished president of the organization, the Masonic Lodge, Sunday school teacher for Robertson Avenue Baptist Church and his work for the Economic Development Corporation.
