Magic was in the air as magician Black Bert (Bertil Fredstrom) awed, amazed, and amused audience members both young and old. Black Bert’s performance was one of many shows put on as part of the Copperas Cove Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.
 
The crowd was smaller this year than in years past, but gathered with fervor at the Olan Forest Smith Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8577 on Veterans Avenue on Saturday morning. The occasion was to honor the past veterans
who served our country, but especially to commemorate the birthday of our nation. 
The players’ eyes are as big and round as the softballs they are trying to pitch, hit and catch. Players on the Copperas Cove Lady Cardinals are in awe of the helping hand they are receiving this season from some Lady Dawg softball players who they consider stars in their sport.
 

Hearing no
