Wheels fall off the welcome wagon

Please, sit down on my porch today and pour yourself a glass of sweet tea or lemonade. Let’s talk about the town’s good ol’ welcome wagon, and what to do when its wheels fall off.

In my more than 20 years of living in our city, I’ve discovered that while people choose or don’t choose to come to Copperas Cove, either people love it, or they don’t. There are few in between.

I’m one of those who chose to live here; well, it’s more like Copperas Cove chose me when I was looking for a job, straight out of college as I went through interviews in different Texas cities. Now that my roots are here, I’ve also discovered that when I meet someone new to the area, I want them to like it. Not just like it, but love it and hope to make it a better place.
