The interloping freeloader

By Lynette Sowell

It comes into your life uninvited, unexpected. You hear about it, that interloper, the freeloader who bothers other families, other people. You watch for it. Or sometimes, this interloping freeloader comes in and you don’t really know how it got there in the first place. You just want it out of your life. It costs you valuable time you can’t ever get back again. You think about it the first thing when you wake up in the morning and the last thing when you go to bed at night. It rearranges your schedule without your consent, robs you of energy and starts letting you know in no uncertain terms that it’s going to stay as long as it wants. If you’re facing it, you know your family is facing it too.
