Parent’s concern prompt discussion of emergency drill policy
A parent of a Copperas Cove Independent School District student voiced his concerned to several administrative employees about an intruder drill held at Clements/Parsons Elementary School Tuesday. Ahmed Khan said his daughter told him about the incident several hours after the school day had ended. The school had gone on lockdown; lights and computers were shut off. When his daughter began telling him about, she seemed visibly upset, Khan said, which prompted him to email the teacher and asked what happened. “As a parent, your heart starts racing because you think something happened and you missed it,” Khan said.
