Golden Age

Deacon Tim Nolt from Austin uses incense to bless the parish and all those in attendance on Sunday. The church celebrated it’s 50-year anniversary with hundreds of families, friends and visitors.

Rainy weather might have postponed the Fun Fest and Street Dance scheduled for Saturday in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Holy Family Catholic Church, but it did not hinder the attendance of hundreds of Copperas Cove residents and visitors at the Sunday mass celebration. The church was packed and left standing room only at the 12:30 p.m. mass where special guest Bishop Joe Vasquez from Austin gave a brief overview of the church’s history and delivered the homily. “It is a great joy for me to join you this Sunday morning,” Vasquez told the parish. “As we celebrate 50 years of this community being alive and present here in Copperas Cove. Thank you for the faith that you have, and have continued to have, for years.”
