Cub Scouts hold banquet
Over 70 people packed the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8577 banquet hall Wednesday night for Cub Scout Pack 251’s Blue and Gold Banquet as Cub Scouts and their families eagerly awaited an awards ceremony, consisting of rank advancement, proficiency pins and belt loops awarded for elective activities. “Our Blue and Gold Banquet is about finishing up the awards for the year,” said Amanda Mitchell, awards chairperson. “And it gets the Cub Scouts ready for bridging.” Bridging is what the Cub Scouts call moving from one rank to the next highest rank.
