Bulldawgs bowlers take No.1 seed in state meet

The Central Texas Lady STARZZ 12U team won the Region 5 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation basketball championship March 17 and will advance to the state tournament in Southlake over the weekend.

The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs earned the top seed in the boys division of the 2013 Texas High School Bowling Club State Tournament March 23-24 in Fort Worth by just 12 pins over The Colony Cougars. The Dawgs starting lineup averages 206 while The Colony comes in with a 204 average. Canyon, Amarillo, San Antonio Madison and Flower Mound all average 200 or better while Georgetown, Converse Judson and Fairhill round out the top 10.
