50th Anniversary for Holy Family Catholic Church

The Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove is turning 50-years-old on Sunday and will be hosting a Fun Fest on the grounds of the Knights of Columbus Hall on FM 2657 beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday. In 1956, the local Catholic community was a mission parish of St. Joseph in Killeen, and gathered each Sunday for Mass in the home of Joe and Jane LaFountain. On March 10, 1963, under the guidance of Bishop Louis Reicher and Father James Donnelly, Holy Family parish officially became a part of the Copperas Cove community.
