$15,000 in damage to impound lot cars

$15,000 was the monetary value assessed in an incident of criminal mischief in the form of graffiti reported from the 1200 block of Pecan Cove Drive on Monday at 12:49 p.m. Sgt. Kevin Keller of the Copperas Cove Police Department said two vehicles were damaged at an impound lot. The case is being investigated by CID. John Michael Ropple was arrested at the police department on Monday at 7:07 a.m. with a warrant for purchase of alcohol for a minor and furnishing alcohol to a minor in connection with an incident that happened earlier this year. The burglaries of two vehicles was reported on Monday at 6:50 a.m. from the 1400 block of Chisholm Trail. Nothing was damaged in this incident, but a Kindle, a knife, United States currency, a book of compact discs and a wallet and its contents were stolen. The total value assessed in this case was $1,280. This case is being investigated by CID.
