Blotter story July 6

Aaron Jezreel Adams was arrested in the 1200 block of Katelyn Circle on Wednesday at 10:51 a.m. for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Sgt. Martin Ruiz of the Copperas Cove Police Department said today this case was concerning the theft of a truck reported on July 3 which was taken by the son and was found yesterday. Marijuana smoking pipes were also found and reported at 10:28 a.m. from the same location.

Phillip Randall Butler was arrested on Wednesday at 11:43 p.m. in the 1300 block of Georgetown Road with two Copperas Cove Municipal Court warrants of arrest, one for having an expired registration and the other for driving with an invalid license.

Deadly conduct was reported on Wednesday at 3:59 a.m. from the 1100 block of South 23rd Street. Ruiz said shots were fired but no one was injured. A gun was found near the house.

A theft of a 2000 Dodge Durango worth $4,500 was reported from the 1200 block of Phil Avenue on Wednesday at 11:49 a.m. Ruiz said the individual left the keys inside the vehicle.

A residential burglary was reported on Wednesday at 6:41 p.m. from the 2000 block of East Business Highway 190 where a window was damaged and a computer and appliances were stolen. The total monetary value assessed in this incident was $885. Ruiz said an individual was moving into the apartment and left those items there during the process of moving. When he returned to the apartment, the items were stolen. There are no suspects in this case so far.

A theft of money in the amount of $450 was reported from Beall's Department Store in the Cove Terrace Shopping Center on Wednesday at 5:29 p.m.
